Heritage Resin Surfaces
Heritage Resin Surfaces is a subsidiary of Heritage Developments. It was important that the brand could easily be adapted to other sides of the company in the future.
The typeface choice adds a professional feel and makes the company look reliable. The brand is effective at emphasising their time in the business, their professional manner and the good quality product that they are providing. Gold foil on a lovely quality paper stock is used to give a superior feel.
This project looks at Germantown Avenue, an 8 and a half mile street in Philadelphia, America and how it starts with well to do people and rapidly changes the further down the street you travel. This is compared to an 8 and a half mile distance in the North East of England from Wynyard to Hartlepool through interesting typographic detail and structure. To see more visit my Behance.
A publication in response to the ISTD brief “Everything about one thing’, focusing on the sufferers expression of feelings and supported by grounded medical research. The concept of using traditional book conventions has been established to allow the consistency to be disrupted and an increase in emotion to be visually expressed. To see more visit my Behance.
Bluebell Medical Centre
Bluebell Medical Centre is a new doctors surgery that has just opened on Trimdon Avenue in Acklam. The name Bluebell is in keeping with its surroundings, situated near Bluebell beck and the client wanted this to be reinforced in the brand. My task was to create the branding including the initial logo, letterhead and compliments slip. The overall feel is fresh and welcoming. The colour lilac was chosen to be calming for patients as the colour would also be painted in the reception area.
Care By Innovation is a company that offers professional and accredited medical training for Phlebotomy and Clinical Skills. My task was to create a brand for the company including a logo design, letterhead, business card and leaflet.
When creating these designs I took some and colours and styles associated with the NHS so people would make that instant connection with the medical industry when seeing the overall brand. It had to be instantly recognisable as a professional medical company!
Kamado began its journey as an experimental typeface with a cultural essence. Influenced by type around the globe during my studies. The result… a plausible and exciting typeface!
The rhythm of each letter is fundamental to the design, each exploring and exaggerating the way it can be drawn with continuous strokes… full of character.
Kamado has a very distinctive look, which would give a clear awareness of a brand. Kamado works great in many type settings. Its variety of weights provides a range of choices that will help you find the best typographic effect for your project. Details include twelve weights including italics, over 470 characters, manually edited kerning, ligatures and case-sensitive punctuation.
Makozin is a humanist typeface with a stylish appearance. Designed with a more fluid approach, makozin has more movement and curvature within stems, an angled stress and visible modulation. Together these features give a strong presence of the hand providing a comfortable read.
Makozin's aesthetic dimensions both serve and enhance the design, making it the perfect tool for communicating in magazines; both in their print and online form, with attention grabbing headlines and easy to read body copy that follows. The true italics of this typeface are a real show stealer, they instantly create a sense of atmosphere, style and authority, complementing the uprights perfectly.
Full details include 10 weights including italics, manually edited kerning and a range of OpenType features.
Kandin is a modern geometric sans inspired by Scandinavian interiors. With a cool and collected feel and low-key luxury, Kandin has a crisp and uncluttered feel providing legibility with strong doses of aesthetic pleasure. Being one of the most static and clinical of all classifications, Kandin successfully brings its playfulness in a subtle manner, keeping its minimalist, restrained, supremely peaceful feel. Although Kandin has geometric proportions, it has been carefully adjusted by eye for a simple pleasing look. It is suitable for a wide range of applications where a clear yet wonderful impression is required.
Details include six weights, 470 characters, manually edited kerning, ligatures and case-sensitive punctuation.
A modern grotesque sans serif font family that follows the philosophy of original grotesque typefaces with enhanced personality. Fine details and tuning, balance functionality and the beauty representative of the aesthetic movement in the 19th century. This beauty was not confined to painting and sculptures. Potential for art is everywhere around us, in our homes, public buildings and in the detail of the way we choose to live our lives.

Luengo is a modern geometric sans serif font family. Rounded corners give a natural and overall home-felt feel with an accessible air and an elegant touch. Luengo is for display purpose, but it also looks great in longer copy, making this family of 5 weights perfect for a range of uses such as brand identities, packaging and editorial.

Creating a combination between serif and sans serif typefaces, Jotia utilises the best of both worlds, resulting in a unique and modern neo-humanist font family. Taking its inspiration from lapidary inscriptions rather than pen drawn text, Jotia uses triangular serif shape details to create a strong uniformed personality with clear legibility. This original quality enables characters to be expressive in headlines, as well as in printed and onscreen text situations. Jotia also works beautifully alongside both serif and sans serif typefaces giving complex editorial work a more powerful and visually stimulating dynamic.
Details include six weights, a full European character set, manual kerning and spacing, ligatures and alternatives.
Symbah is fun, a carefree hand drawn typeface with a childlike spirit. Made with a brush and ink, and then converted into a digital format for you to enjoy.
The design is fresh, organic and produced purely by hand and brush, a technique not replicated by digital methods alone. Symbah is full of personality and is ideal for projects that need creativity with an imaginative, and unique feel.
Details include a full European character set, manual edited kerning and spacing, ligatures and case-sensitive punctuation.
Quiroh is a functional typeface that expresses both artistic life and emotion. Taking its inspiration from the industrial revolution of the 19th Century where romance and science coincided. With a cushioned finish and designed according to traditional conventions, the sentiment is equally as important as the reason, resulting in a very pleasurable read. Quiroh includes both heavy display weights and lighter weights for small copy, it's a perfect tool for communicating to the masses. Tall ascenders and descenders give the typeface a distinctive look with an elegant feel, and while these expressive forms invite the reader to observe its visible shape and appearance, its rhythm and function invites the reader to peruse at their leisure.
Full details include 7 weights from thin to heavy with over 470 characters, manually edited kerning and OpenType features.
